Call Me Counter-Cultural

How would you imagine the life of a recent college graduate? What immediately comes to my mind is someone in their early twenties working a 9-5 job and living with friends in the city; or maybe someone who is teaching or volunteering in an impoverished region of the United States or foreign country. I have friends doing many different things now that we have graduated college - exciting things, important things... and I would be doing something similar if I didn't have a son. When you think of a recent college graduate, you usually don't think of a 23-year old with an 8-month old son.

Full Heart.

I've never been a big Valentine's Day person. It's a nice holiday and I'm definitely not one to complain about flowers and candy (thanks dad!), but I've never made a big deal about the day.  Usually I mostly ignored the holiday or spent it with my girlfriends eating chocolate and watching Grey's Anatomy (such a guilty confession).  Last year James and I celebrated Valentine's Day together, and it was all very sweet and nice, but to be honest we were both still a little freaked out and shocked that we were in college and about to become parents. However, this year is different.
